Mobile Hair Salon across Northern Lincolnshire
The Beauty Bus is a bespoke fitted hairdressing salon in what was an LDV Convoy 17-seater minibus. It has its own onboard freshwater, lighting, heating, and power. It is, therefore, able to offer a full range of hair treatments to clients across Northern Lincolnshire at a time and location which is convenient to the client.
If you are a wheelchair user for example, please let me know when booking and the salon chair can be moved to make way for your wheelchair, and I have a pair of ramps to get you into the salon whilst in your chair. Please note: The Beauty Bus does not carry the ramps regularly so the prior arrangement is required.
Sadly the vehicle has suffered a catastrophic engine failure. However, work is already underway on a new larger beauty bus. Improvements on the original will be better accessibility, a toilet and space for a full treatment couch and a nail bar for beauty services. I am using a Mercedes 22-seater bus as a basis.
Meanwhile, I am continuing to provide a full range of services in your own home.
Introducing Caroline
I decided to become a self-employed hairdresser when my own disability resulted in having to leave my last employment. Whilst doing the regular mobile hairdressing I decided that what Northern Lincolnshire was missing was a mobile salon. These exist in other areas of the country and other countries, but no-one was doing it here. So, I bought a minibus and designed how I would like it to be inside to enable me to be able to provide the full range of hairdressing services my clients would like. I was thrilled with how it looked inside and upset when it had to be decommissioned. Until a new mobile salon can be completed, I am pleased to be able to offer the full range of services in your own home.
I now aim to offer a fabulous mobile hairstyling and beauty service. Whether you need an elegant hairstyle for prom night, a regular trim, or a weekly shampoo and set, I can help. With over 30 years of experience working with hair, I aim to be your first choice for all your hairdressing needs. I endeavour to deliver amazing results and excellent levels of comfort and convenience to my clients in Northern Lincolnshire. I always use professional quality hair care products for services, primarily Wella Professional, although for some colour services, other brands are more appropriate. I am fully Level 3 qualified in ladies hairdressing and Barbering.
2019 saw an expansion into beauty services. I do not believe in standing still, so I invested time into getting qualified to provide a range of services available in conjunction with hair services, or individually. In addition to standard manicure/pedicure services, I am certified for CND Shellac gel nails; and rather than facials for just ladies, I also trained to provide gents facials, a full range of non-intimate waxing, make-up and massage.
During Lockdown I further developed my skills becoming a qualified Foot Health Practitioner. This means that whereas doing a pedicure I cannot treat anyone with conditions such as athlete’s foot for example, now, I can. I am now registered with the Royal College of Podiatry, currently as a student in training to become a fully qualified Podiatrist by July 2023. When I qualify, I will also be HCPC (health & care professionals council) registered, but not yet.
